Arabesque for Ajialouna

As retail giant ABC began to pave the way for the opening of its Verdun Mall, Matisse Events was called upon to create and organize an event during the 2015 Ramadan celebrations in July. The event was a one day car free festival taking place on the main street of the future Verdun ABC mall. All proceeds were used to raise funds for non governmental organization Ajialouna.

Drawing on two key elements including ABC's logo and identity on one hand, and the traditional, yet modernized Arabesque patterns on the other hand, Matisse Events created a unique concept for the festival. Arabesque shapes and forms inspired the design and and set-up of the event. Shopping stalls were accompanied by kids' activities and entertainment that took place throughout the day and night, after a grand opening by Leila Al Solh the vice president of Alwaleed bin Talal Humanitarian Foundation and a former Lebanese minister of industry.
