As passionate advocates of Lebanese arts and culture, Matisse Events created a platform for the vibrant showcase of local and international talent.
A Celebration of Creative FusionCommon Fest was all about bringing the best of culture, arts, food, and music from around the world for a four-day celebration of community. In collaboration with BankMed and MedSecurities, Matisse Events created and organized a meeting of the local and global, where more than 1,500 guests enjoyed live performances, workshops, and exhibitions by creators from two nations with thriving art scenes: Germany and Lebanon.
On the arts and culture front, the culture collective Das Scharf curated various artists, bringing together regional heavyweights like Galerie Tanit exposing some of their talented artist while creators from overseas like Tape Over and Rylsee held workshops and live perfomances. Beirut artists like LUMI, Romax, and Joy Fayad joined JAW from dOP and Berlin's OYE Records crew for a creative fusion of live musical talent. Guests also had the choice to go local or global with cuisine, with Tawlet's Kamal Mouzawak and Sage Restaurant's Gregor Johannsen serving their best dinners and brunches.
The choices were endless. Guests could watch art come to life through live performances of music and painting, buy books and records from popup shops, and view photography exhibitions by some of the most talented artists from Beirut and Berlin.
