Celebrating Love, the Lebanese Way
Picture this: a celebration of love, the Lebanese way. Our special guests united their nearest and dearest to feast on a traditional Lebanese lunch, and be merry under the towering pine trees of Bishmizzine. Our task was simple, to transform a forest into a welcoming Lebanese courtyard overflowing with hospitality and warmth. Guest came together around time-honored long wooden tables, that we covered with hand-sewn crochet cloths. We adorned these tables with a pairing of Lebanese carafes of water, and homegrown centerpieces of fruits and vegetables giving everyone a feast for the eyes. Tawlet served a mouthwatering variety of mezzes and dishes that guests nibbled on along with conversation and laughter. After the hearty lunch, attendees moved on to a zen chill out area, where they could take on the breathtaking scenery as they laid down on sinking pillows and artisanal mats. Traditions carried on throughout the day with Lebanese “zajjal” recited in honor of our special guests. It is safe to say, not a single eye was left dry. The day was finally capped off with a band of time-honored “oud” and “derbakeh” musicians, who brought the party to their feet, as guests danced in the great outdoors of Northern Lebanon.
