Sliding into Forever After

Every wedding planner knows, that a bride’s grand entrance sets the tone for the rest of the celebration. When it came time for Yara’s walk down the aisle, we made sure that time stood still as the groom and his guests laid eyes on her for the first time. Phillippe watched the love of his life making her way towards him under a serene sea of olive branches; a sign of perpetual peace and harmony, here to accompany the couple into this new chapter of their lives. Once the couple sealed their sacred union with a kiss, it was time to kick off the celebrations. Guests were escorted to the courtyard of the old silk factory, known as La Magnanerie, for their welcome drinks. Once there, they were greeted by the musical sounds of the live band JLP that filled the air with an atmosphere of giddy excitement. The invitees danced, shared laughter and memories, while never forgetting to toast the happy couple.

This feeling of intimacy carried out throughout the evening, as the bride and groom made sure to add their own personal touches to the evening feast that followed. As the 450 guests arrived at their assigned seats they were each treated to their own bracelets, lovingly handmade by the bride’s mother. Olive branches were now replaced with diamond shaped metal centrepieces that we delicately placed upon tabletops. To bring a touch of femininity to the event, we also sprinkled lavish pink peonies, as a cheeky wink to the bride’s gracefully tinted dress. Once dinner was enjoyed, dessert was served two times over, as the bride and groom surprised their friends and family with a fun procession to the dance floor. We built a custom-made slide that helped guests glide through the Magnanerie directly unto the after-party stage. This served as the perfect transition from an elegant seated dinner to a vivacious dance party that lasted through the night and into the morning.
